2010 – Multipurpose Auditorium

Picture

New auditorium the day of its inauguration
In early 2010, the community came to us and asked us to help them build a new multi-purpose auditorium at the school.  It was such a blessing for the school to have grown so large as to not be able to fit all of their students in their current auditorium!  We worked to raise the funds for the building materials and the school community donated the labor, and just months later we inaugurated the beautiful new auditorium on November 19!  Now the school has a large, comfortable space where they can hold celebrations like graduations and have meetings with parents.

2008/2009 – Kindergarten Classroom

Picture

In 2008, the school presented us with a proposal for a new kindergarten classroom.  There were more students in the community than the school had the capacity to educate.  It seemed unacceptable to us that there were students eager to learn that could not attend because of a lack of space!  Our summer delegates broke ground in 2008, and our 2009 delegation put the finishing coat of paint on and formally inaugurated the classroom!  Now it is the site of 40 screaming kindergartners morning and afternoon.  Once the school is able to hire another teacher, the classroom can be divided into two and will double its capacity!
